New Delhi: Seems like Mukesh Ambani owned Reliance Jio is once again geared to shake up the internet data space –this time with broadband services though.

Jio has been expanding its fibre-to-the-home (FTTH) business offering with beta trials initiated in five locations –Delhi, Mumbai, Jamnagar, Pune and Chennai.

“It would expand the scope of the beta trials over the next few months,” a Jio statement had said last month.

As Reliance Jio is gearing up to launch its much-awaited Fibre-to-the-home (FTTH) broadband services in India, reports are pouring in that the company is again set to pour free services.

But what comes as a good news for the consumers is that JioFibre broadband services would come with a preview offer.

According to a media report said that Jio will offer complimentary access to JioFibre services for 90 days.

JioFibre broadband services will offer 100 GB free data at 100 Mbps speed and free access to Jio premium applications. Post 100 GB data cap users will continue to get 1 Mbps speed.

However, the offer will come with a rider. Reliance Jio would charge Rs 4,500 (refundable installation charges) from the users. If the consumers do not wish to continue with JioFibre, the amount will be refunded to them.

Meanwhile, the Economic Times, citing another report has said that Jio home broadband FTTH is expected to start at Rs 500 for 600 GB data while Rs 2,000 for 1000 GB data at 100Mbps speed.
