Rajiv Ranjan Mishra took over charge, on the 11th Oct 2014 as Chairman cum MD of Western Coalfields Limited, a Nagpur based Miniratna CPSU engaged in mining and marketing of coal. Before joining as CMD WCL, Shri Mishra was Director (Personnel) in Central Coalfields Limited (CCL), Ranchi.
Rajiv Mishra, holding Post Graduate Diploma in Personnel Management & Industrial Relations,has to his credit a vast experience of over three decades of service in different capacities in Central Mine Planning & Design Institute ( CMPDI), Northern Coalfields Limited (NCL), Coal India Limited (CIL), Eastern Coalfields Limited and Central Coalfields Limited (CCL).
Rajiv Mishra is known for his team building capabilities and strategic management acumen. He has widely travelled in India and abroad and is associated with several professional organisations.
During the introductory meetings the stakeholders of WCL including the employees and union representatives have expressed their appreciation and have committed themselves to the growth and progress of the company under the able leadership of Rajiv Mishra.
