Nagpur: Considering the outstanding contribution of Rajiv R Mishra, Chairman cum MD, Western Coalfields Limited, in improving the productivity of Indian Coal Mining Industry, World Academy of Productivity Science- a Montreal, Canada Headquartered Apex Organization in the field of Productivity, has selected him as its “Fellow”.
The induction ceremony will be held on October,19th during the 17th World Productivity Congress in Halifax, Nova Scotia.
While welcoming on board of the prestigious institution, Thomas C Tuttle, the President, thru his e mail to Mishra has desired that he as fellow of World Academy of Productivity Science, will share his expertise with others, who will be benefited from such knowledge.
Notably, World Academy of Productivity Science, selects 500 Fellows every year for such felicitation. Mishra is the first one from Coal India Limited to receive such honour.
WCL under leadership of Mishra, who is commissioning one coal mining project every month, has earned laurels and national attention due to many pioneering initiatives, namely, a) Human Capital Management- for executive information in electronic portal, b) Gen Next Initiative – Shaping of future leaders, c) Gold Card – Web portal based access to medical history of the members of Contributory Post Retirement Medical Services for Executives of Coal India Limited and Subsidiaries, d) Save Energy- WCL Headquarters, Street lights, Sanskrutik Bhawan and Welfare hall have been equipped with LED lights, e) Mine Water Utilization- Supply of water for irrigation to Bhorgaon and Pipri villages from Mine Discharge.
