Radio Centre opened in Nagpur Central Prison

In a unique and probably first of its kind venture, Nagpur Central Prison has started a Radio Centre in the jail premises to entertain, enlighten, counsel and provide guidance by prominent personalities to the inmates. The jail inmates will themselves work as R J through the Radio Ncp. The inmates will be provided guidance by different expert personalities, counseling, apart from entertainment.

The Radio Ncp Centre in Nagpur Central Prison was inaugurated by Dr Bhushankumar Upadhyaya, Additional Director General of Police and Inspector General of Prisons, Maharashtra State, on Monday (May 30). Similar Radio Centres have also been started in Yervada, Aurangabad, and Kolhapur Central Prisons.

The programme was also attended by Jail Superintendent Yogesh Desai, Deputy Jail Superintendent Kirti Chintamani, Sunil Night, Senior Prison Officer B M Kale and other officials.
