Nagpur: The State Election Commission has declared public holiday on the date of voting Nagpur Municipal Corporation on February 21. Election to nine other municipal corporations in State is also scheduled to take place on the day. Accordingly, public holiday has been declared on February 21.
According to a circular issued by Industries, Energy and Labour Departments, different shops, establishments, hotels, restaurants, IT companies, shopping centres, malls, and others have been directed to sanction with-pay leaves for their workers to facilitate voting for them on the polling day, said SEC.
