Nagpur: In a glittering ceremony the team of office bearers of Psychiatric Society, Nagpur 2017-18 headed by President Dr. Pawan N. Adatia and Dr. Sagar Chiddarwar as Secretary was installed at the Hands of Snr. Psychiatrist, Dr. Sudhir Bhave, at Hotel Centre Point Ramdaspeth on Sunday 19th March 2017 in the evening at 8 p.m.
The others installed on the occasion were Vice President: Dr. Avinash Bhattad also (President Elect) Jt. Earlier outgoing President Dr. Anand Saoji made opening welcome speech. Dr. Nikhil Pande outgoing Secretary presented annual report. The Dignitaries lighted traditional lamp to mark the event. Dr. Pawan Adatia in his acceptance speech highlighted plans of his tenure with news projects on mental health.
Dr. Kausar Abbasi Oration was delivered by incoming President Dr. Pawan Adtia on “Mental Health Bill 2016 and its Implication. mental health care bill according to him is mainly focus on right of person with mental illness. bill if implemented in true spirit, will definately improve life of person with mental illness.some important lacunae were also highlighted which needed to be corrected. Later on Dr. Sudhir Bhave spoke on Psychiatric Practice Tips and Tricks. Dr. Deepika Singh and Dr. Pravin Verma was the Master of Ceremony. Dr. Sudhir Bhave, Dr. Vivek Kirpekar were felicitated on contribution at National level committees of Indian Psychiatric Society.
