Name of notorious goon Anil Raut is alleged to be involved in the murder
Nagpur: A middle-aged man was celebrating his birthday, when four goons allegedly picked him up in their Toyota Fortuner. These goons took the man to their boss, allegedly to threaten him. However, one of the goons who wanted to scare him with a sword-stick (Gupti) accidentally thrust it into his ribs.
Seeing that the sword-stick has entered deep, these goons got panicked and allegedly took him to Government Medical College and Hospital for treatment claiming that it was a case of accident. However, the doctors while examining him found out that the victim has been wounded with a sword-stick. They immediately informed the Police Station since it was a Medico-Legal-Case.
The victim is identified as Narendra Venkat Pimpalkar aged 38 years and a resident of Rewati Nagar, Besa Road under the jurisdiction of Hudkeshwar Police Station. January 25, 2015 was his birthday.

According to sources, the murder is an outcome of property dispute. Mangilal Sutar a resident of Rajasthan had allegedly sold the land to the victim. The said plot was allegedly also sold to another person. Since the property was in dispute, notorious gangster Anil Raut entered in the fray to settle the issue.
On January 25, 2015, at around 8:30 pm, four goons allegedly picked the victim Narendra Pimpalkar up in their Toyota Fortuner bearing RTO No MH-31/ EA 5151. This Fortuner is said to be owned by gangster Anil Raut. However, Anil Raut was not present in the vehicle when the accused goons picked the victim. Aroun 4-5 goons lifted the victim from his house and allegedly took him to their boss to threaten him. However, these goons did not want to kill him, but only to frighten the victim. One of the goons who was a very puny one wanted to scare him with a sword-stick (Gupti) but accidentally thrust it into his ribs inside the Fortuner while the vehicle was in motion.
Seeing that the sword-stick has entered deep, these goons got panicked and allegedly took him to Government Medical College and Hospital for treatment claiming that it was a case of accident and fled from there. However, the doctors while examining him, found out that the victim has been wounded with a sword-stick. They immediately informed the Hudkeshwar Police Station since it was a Medico-Legal-Case. However, the victim Narendra Pimpalkar died during the course of treatment.

The Hudkeshwar Police started investigating whether it was a murder or an accident claimed by the accused. Police Inspector Raja Pawar of Hudkeshwar Police Station swung into action and arrested four goons and seized the Toyota Fortuner used in the murder. Those who were picked up included Virendra Fating aged 30 years, Asfaq Pathan, Suraj Gaigauli and Jeetu Nanotkar. Some five other people who were suspected by cops were also picked up for interrogation. However, their names have not been revealed.
Sources alleged that the person behind this murder is notorious goon Anil Bhaiyaji Raut. Police are questioning the four accused. However, all the four have narrated different versions. Either they are trying to safe-guard the main king-pin or are trying to mislead the police. The police are also suspecting the main accused Anil Raut having a hand in this murder. Meanwhile the notorious goon Anil Raut and his accomplice are absconding.
The Police has registered a case of murder under section 302 of IPC and are investigating into Mangilal and Anil Raut’s involvement in the case.
