Priyadarshini J. L. College of Engineering, Nagpur was established in 2008. It is formally known as J. L. College of Engineering. It is one of the promising institutions of Nagpur. It has achieved an eminent place in the Nagpur region in a very short span of a year. It is an offshoot of the prestigious education society of Nagpur, Lokmanya Tilak Jankalyan Shikshan Sanstha (LTJSS). It is affiliated to Rashtrasant Tukadoji Maharaj Nagpur University.
College has highly qualified and experienced faculty members eager to impart knowledge to students mounding them into better human beings. The college provides excellent infrastructure catering to the overall needs of the next generation. It has well-equipped laboratories, instruments. The objective of the college is to objective is to prepare the students to deal with the real world issues and encourage them to grab the opportunities to become master in their chosen fields.

P.J.L.C.E. is centrally located in the city of Nagpur, better known as Orange City’. It is a good combination of Cosmopolitanism and Tradition and is away from the rush and cut – throat competition of other big cities. It is destined to become the destination for an intentional industrial and trade centre with the MIHAN project which is spread over a vast area promising technological advancement. • SPITZEE -2K16: A State level project/model competition was organized for diploma
level Students which has now become one of our major Calendar Events. A Colossal response not less than 1200 student participants from various junctions of Maharashtra were caught this year. This initiative taken for these students helps them to churn their abilities, skills, and inner talent eventually unlocking their potential, developing confidence and promoting competitive spirit at the state level.
• TARANG-16: Another major calendar event of Pjlce Tarang –Craving for Unseen Impulse is a Cultural fiesta for two consecutive days exclusively held at Intra-College Level to provide our students a platform to unleash their extravagant flair with our college. Various events were organized for students to participate in traditional Day event, solo, due t& group Dance competition, Treasure Hunt, Flower decoration ,Rangoli making, fete,& cultural evening with a fantabulous Fashion show.
WORKSHOPS
Civil Department organized a one day Workshop on REVIT Software. The Guest Speaker was from Astral Informatics Ltd. Workshop proved to be very successful not only for the student but also for the faculty members.
Civil department also conducted two day survey camp on road project where in 72 students participated with full zeal and vigor. It was an adventure cum discipline camp where along with the learning value students enjoyed various extra-curricular activities like rock climbing, trekking, swimming, playing kabaddi etc.
Forum Installation:
Each year student forums are being installed in almost all the departments of our institute. Like ‘SPACE’ in Department of Civil Engineering, EXORDIUM in Electronics and Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering, SURGE in Electrical Engineering. CiT IN Computer Science & Engineering Dept. Several activities and competitions such as poster competition, extempore, Self- Governance activity, quiz competition, flex competition, Visit to Orphanage, workshop on Robotics, paper presentation,employability enhancement training programmes, modal making, techno-quest, techni- darshan are organized. Students participate in all these activities with great zeal and vigor.
GUEST LECTURE:
Department of EN/ETC organized a Guest Lecture on “Stress Management” by Mr. Prashik Gaikwad, Pune.
CSE/IT organised a guest lecture on “Cyber Security and Cryptography” and on “Theory of Computation”. The guest speakers were Mr. Yashpal Singh from IT NETWORKZ and Mr. N.V Chaudhari from Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Engineering.
Civil Department organized lectures on “Bridge Engineering” and “Indian Constitution”. The guest speakers were Mr. Chetan Pawar and Prof. Ajit Sao briefed the students on the working of our Constitution. Such Guest Lectures gives students exposure beyond curriculum in turn boosting their knowledge and confidence.
INDUSTRIAL VISIT/TOUR:
To give the Final year students a practical approach and to build on their technical skills & knowledge every year all the five branches of our institute (CSE/IT, EN/ETC, EE,) organize Industrial tours. Companies visited were Hi-Tech light weight brick manufacturing factory, Mattupetty Dam (Munnar) Idukky Dam (Munnar). Site Visit at Eco Homes Pvt. Ltd. Industrial Tour at Surya Roshani Ltd (Uttarakhand), Koradi Thermal Power Station, Nagpur, Besa sub station (Besa), Parle-G Factory, Neeri, Load Dispatch Center, Nagpur, 132kv Sub station (Mankapur). Eight days Industrrial Tour at ISRO Trivandrum (Kerala), ADCC Infocad Pvt.Ltd. Persistent System Limited.

Under National Service Scheme, PJLCE organizes various activities like Shramadan, Tree Plantation, Blood donation Camp and cleanliness campaign. Our student volunteers and representatives show their concern and interest towards these social causes.
