Nagpur: In order to get rid of the stray cattle mayhem on city roads, Traffic Police conducted a proceeding against owners of the stray cattle in the Gandhibag Road. The proceedings were carried out under Police Commissioner Dr. Venkatesham, Traffic Police Deputy Commissioner Ravindra Singh Pardeshi and Police Inspector Ashok Bagul. Case has been registered against eight cattle owners and the cattle have been sent to NMC’s cattle-pound.

Also, encroachments near Central Avenue of Dosar Chowk were removed during the proceedings. Actions were also taken against riders without helmet.

The city is although running fast in the direction of becoming a smart city; the traffic and stray cattle problem are still persistent on a huge scale.
