PM credits Team India for WB ranking in ‘ease of doing biz’

New Delhi: Describing World Bank’s latest annual ‘ease of doing business’ report as historic, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that it is the outcome of the all-round and multi-sectoral reform push of Team India.

“Historic jump in Ease of Doing Business rankings is the outcome of the all-round & multi-sectoral reform push of Team India,” the PM said in a series of tweets.

“Guided by the mantra of Reform, Perform & Transform we are determined to further improve our rankings & scale greater economic growth,” he said in another tweet.

Modi said that over last three years, his government has seen a spirit of positive competition among states towards making business easier which has been beneficial.

“It has never been easier to do business in India. India welcomes the world to explore economic opportunities our nation has to offer,” Modi said.

According to the World Bank’s latest annual ease of doing business report, India now ranks 100th among 190 countries.

Last year it was placed at 130th spot.
