: Pakistan media has claimed that its air force flew Mirage jets near Siachen during recent war exercises. The Indian Air Force has clarified that the planes never violated Indian air space. The planes were spotted in Skardu, a town in Pakistan’s Gilgit-Baltistan region. Some Pakistan media outlets claimed that Pakistan’s air force chief, Sohail Aman piloted one of the fighter jets that apparently flew over the highest battlefield of the world, Siachen.

According to Pakistani media, all forward operating bases of the Pakistan Air Force have been made operational. On Wednesday, Sohail Aman visited the Qadri Airbase in Skardu and took part in war exercises by fighter jet squadrons. According to a Pakistani TV news channel, he addressed the media and said that the people of Pakistan should not worry about India’s statement and that no situation was difficult for the Pakistan Air Force. He said India’s generations would remember Pakistan’s response if it adopts an aggressive strategy.

The report comes on a day when Pakistan Army claimed that it destroyed an Indian post. It also issued a video to support its claims. It claimed that the Indian Army resorted to unprovoked ceasefire violation on civil population in Bhimber Sector on May 13, resulting in civilian casualties. It said that the attack prompted Pakistan to destroy Indian posts. However, they didn’t give any proof regarding the alleged action.

The Pakistani video came in response to the video released by the Indian Army on Tuesday. The army had announced that it destroyed Pakistan’s forward posts in Nowshera sector as the Pakistan Army was abetting infiltration. Pakistan denied that any such attack actually took place. The Indian Army is prepared for a spur in bids of infiltration as snow is melting in Kashmir valley.

Only last week, the Army engaged a group of terrorists who were trying to infiltrate and cornered them around the Kisan post in the Naugam sector. The encounter, which lasted more than 24 hours, ended on Sunday evening and left seven people dead, including three soldiers.Earlier this month, India Army’s Naib subedar Paramjit Singh, a junior commissioned officer (JCO), and Border Security Force head constable Prem Sagar were beheaded by the Pakistani forces along the Line of Control (LoC) after the Pakistani side opened fire on the Indian posts in the Krishna Ghati sector of Poonch district, and members of their Border Action Team (BAT) attacked a patrol party.
