Pachpaoli cops seize 3 tonnes of beef, arrest 3 men

A team of Pachpaoli police led by Senior PI Narendra Hiwre on Monday raided a house in Nayi Basti, Azad Nagar, Teka and seized 3 tonnes of beef being stored there after slaughtering cows. The raiding cops also rescued 9 cattle from the spot. Three persons have been arrested in this connection.

Acting on a tip-off that some persons were slaughtering a cow in the house of Hyder Abdul Gaffar Qureshi (30) in the said area, the team of cops raided the place. The raiding cops found three persons Ansar Ahmed Abdul Sattar Qureshi (37) and Mohd Shahid Kadir Ahmed Qureshi apart from Hyder Abdul Gaffar Qureshi slaughtering a cow. Further inspection of the house revealed a number of cows butchered and a huge quantity of beef stored in the house. The cops also found nine more cattle including cows, buffaloes and calves deatined in cruel manner and to be slaughtered later.

The cops have seized three tonnes of beef worth Rs 3 lakh and placed the three accused under arrest. The nine cattle worth Rs 70,000 were also rescued.
