One duped in the name of on-line-electric bill paying machine

In spite of umpteen news items of people getting duped by fictitious schemes launched by miscreants, people still fall prey to such miscreants again and again. A youth was allegedly  duped by a miscreant in the name of getting him an on-line electric-bill paying machine for Rupees One lakh fifty thousand (Rs. 1,50,000/-).

The incident occurred under the jurisdiction of Jaripatka Police Station, with which the victim youth Pranay Ravi Nanda lodged a complaint against the accused Shekhar Omprakash Poddar. According to police, Pranay Nanda a resident of HUDCO Colony Jaripatka was duped by a trickster Shekhar Omprakash Poddar in the name of getting him an on-line electric-bill paying machine. The accused had taken the sum of Rupees One lakh fifty thousand (Rs. 1, 50,000/-) in installment between 2012 to June 2015 from the victim Pranay Nanda. As the accused started dilly-dallying the delivery of the machine, it clicked the mind of Pranay and he demanded his money back. As the accused refused to return the money back, the complainant lodged a police case against him under relevant sections of Indian Penal Code and further investigations are underway.
