Now, students to get necessary certificates at their doorsteps

: In a move to save students from standing in long queues and other hassles, the district administration would be making available vital certificates such as caste certificate, non-creamy layer and other necessary certificates at the doorsteps of the students. The applications of students seeking the vital certificates would now be accepted in their respective schools and colleges themselves. The administration is organising 3-day special camp in various schools on different dates. First such special camp will be held from May 27 to 29, the District Collector Sachin Kurve said.

“The Setu Centres are thronged by students and parents for procuring the necessary certificates soon after results of Class X and Class XII exams. The rush of students put other people seeking regular necessary certificates apart from hassles to students themselves. Keeping this aspect in mind, the first 3-day special camp is being organised from May 27 to 29 in various schools. Required documents along with applications for issuing certificates will be accepted in this camp. The applicants would receive their certificates at their residences by post. An additional charge of Rs 10 will be levied for this purpose,” Kurve said.

The first camp from May 27 to 29 for issuing necessary affidavits, caste certificate, non-creamy layer, age, domicile, nationality, income and and other necessary certificates will be held in St John High School, Mohan Nagar, Mahatma Gandhi Centennial High school, Jaripatka, Bharat Vidyalaya, Ramnagar, Tarkunde-Dharampeth High School, North Ambajhari Road, and Pt, Bachharaj Vyas Vidyalaya, Rajabaxa, Medical College Square.

Second camp from June 10 to 12:

The second camp will be organised from June 10 to 12 in Rajendra High School, Shrikrishna nagar, Hasanbagh, Shrimati Annapurnabai Deshmukh Madhyamik Vidyalaya, Lakadganj, Swami Sitaramdas Madhyamik Vidyalaya, Azamshaha Layout, New English High School-Junior College, Mahal and St Ursula Girls High School, Civil Lines.

The government has fixed charges for issuing certificates. Accordingly, the students will have to pay Rs 76 (Rs 46 for affidavit and application and Rs 30 for postage) for caste certificate, Rs 46 for age, domicile, nationality certificates plus Rs 30 postage total Rs 76, for income certificate Rs 46 (affidavit and income certificate), for non-creamy layer certificate (submission of affidavit, application, income certificate) Rs 99 including Rs 69 for certificate and Rs 30 postage charges, for affidavit Rs 30.
