NMC-OCW to carry out maintenance work of Pench-I WTP on March 4 . 6 Zones to remain affected, No water supply on Tuesday evening, Limited and low pressure supply on Wednesday.
Nagpur News: Nagpur Municipal Corporation (NMC) and Orange City Water (OCW), as part of its summer preparation has planned to take some urgent maintenance work at Pench-I at Gorewada Water Treatment Plant (WTP) on March 4 (Tuesday).
The jobs to be undertaken at Pench-I WTP include complete maintenance work on the VCB panel, the HT & LT Transformers maintenance and repair work on the HT Electrical structure in the Electrical Yard.
To carry out the above jobs a five (5) hours of complete shutdown from 2 pm to 7 pm on March 4 will be taken at Pench-1 WTP. This shutdown will result in no water supply on the evening of March 4 (Tuesday) and restricted and low pressure water supply on March 5
(Wednesday) in the zones of Dharampeth, Satranjipura, Dhantoli, Hanuman Nagar, Mangalwari and part of Nehru Nagar zone informed OCW press release.
Low pressure supply in North & East Nagpur
There was sudden electrical failure in the 11KV HT line at the Kanhan WTP on March 3. Due to this almost two hours of clear water pumping could not be done in afternoon hours. This resulted in restricted and low pressure water supply in parts of North and East Nagpur.
