NMC’s undertakes drive to search mosquito eggs to eliminate Dengue

  In order to eliminate Dengue disease, the NMC’s Malaria and Filariasis Control Squad had undertaken a search drive at various places in Sai Temple premises, Popular Society, Adivasi Nagar, Ashtavinayak Colony, Mhalgi Nagar, Rambagh, Mahatma Gandhi Nagar, New Subhedar Layout,  Jail Ward, Indira Nagar, Jattirodi, Mahal, Anand Nagar Housing Board Colony, Bharat Nagar, Vishali Nagar and Jafar Nagar. A total number of 10542 houses were inspected for the Dengue mosquitoes and its eggs. Of this, the officials found larvae of Aedes mosquitoes in 193 houses. Similarly total and complete inspection of 126 houses was performed at zonal level. the larvae was found in a total of 30 houses, said the officials of Health Department.

In the month of October the blood samples of 367 patients were taken out of which 20 were found affected by the Dengue disease.
