NMC XI beats RBI XI by 78 runs in ‘Guzdar League’

Nagpur: In the ‘Guzdar League’ Inter-Institute Cricket Contest, NMC XI drubbed the Reserve Bank of India team by 78 runs. The match was played at Dr babasaheb Ambedkar Ground near Deekshabhoomi on Thursday.

Batting first, NMC XI scored 167 runs for the loss of five wickets. Displaying all round performance, NMC’s Pandurang Shinde hit 42 runs and also took 2 wickets. Similarly, with the attacking batting, Anil Tambe scored 62 runs. In reply, the RBI team could muster only 89 runs in 16.3 overs.

NMC XI: Anil Tambe (62), Pandurang Shinde (42), Jitendra Gaekwad (13), Pranju Nair (10).

For RBI, Atharva Gunjal bowled four overs and took 1 wicket for 33 runs. Abhinav Shekhar 4-1-28. Nikhil Dhawde 4-1-30, Niraj Gawande 4-1-33.

RBI XI:

Shreyas Bagde (26), Kalpesh (14), Rohit (11), Pramod Lule (11).

For NMC XI, Purshottam Janware bowled 3.3 overs and took 3 wickets for 16 runs. Pandurang Shinde 4-2-27, Virendra Naharkar 4-2-15 and Nitin Zade 3-1-25.
