NMC seals two shops, recovers Rs 4,62,608 from defaulters

Nagpur: Nagpur Municipal Corporation (NMC) conducted action against the defaulters of user charges of Municipal Markets by the Market Department. The 8 licensees of Sataranjipura Zone Market, four licensee of Itwari Dhanya bazar, one licensees of Itwari Loha Oli , One Licensee of Itwari Kadbi Bazar, One Licensee of Bhaji Mandi and One Licensee Itwari Dhnya Ottawere for not depositng the user charges since long time.

After following the due procedure the action of eviction was initiated under section 81(B) (3) of MMC Act. On action the shops of two licensee have been sealed and taken in the possession by NMC and the six licensees has deposited the user charges amounting to Rs 4,62,608.

The shopkeepers from whom the amount was recovered are – Kanhiyalal Kesharwani Rs 7,849, Natthuji Ramchandra Satpaise Rs.8,447, Bhairawprasad Ramkumar Shahu Rs 23,498, Laxmiben Wahabji Ubane Rs 24,441, Haribhau Kawale Rs 3,68,054, Harinarayan Shivmangal Shahu Rs 30,319. The total amount recovered is Rs 4,62,608.


Shops sealed and taken into possession belong to Bebibai Gonnade (Two Shops)

The action was conducted under the leadership of Sunil Rotke, Superintendent along with Nandkishor Bhowate, Assistant Superintendent, Ramesh Shivankar, Inspector, Ashok Narnaware, Jr Inspector, Bhushan Bawankar, Hemraj Shindekar, Hawaldar, Gopal Manapure, Chowkidar with employees of Encroachment Department of NMC, Nagpur.
