NMC Polls : Voting begins in Nagpur; Mohan Bhagwat among early morning voters

Nagpur: After a huge round of poll canvasing and throwing up promises to lure the voters, the final exam for the political parties battling to secure power in Nagpur Municipal Corporation began on Tuesday morning at 7 am.

As the voting began, RSS Chief Mohan Bhagwat was the first among the prominent faces, seen at the polling booth.

Bhagwat exercised his franchise at 7.30 am at the voting centre set up at Bharat Mahila Vidyalaya near RSS Bhawan.

Interestingly, Bhagwat was the first to vote at this booth.

Talking to reporters after polling his vote, he expressed the need to have 100% voting in all the elections.

Meanwhile, the polling started peacefully at all 2783 centres in various areas of Nagpur. The fate of 1135 candidates contesting on 151 seats in NMC will be locked in EVMs today.
