NMC Mayor inaugurates Industrial Exhibition at MIDC

Nagpur: NMC Mayor Nanda Jichkar inaugurated the National Level Vendor Development Programme –cum- Industrial Exhibition at Nagpur’s MIDC while Krupal Tumane, Ramtek Member of Parliament was the guest of honour. Ashutosh Tripathi, Vice President, Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd, B. Vijay Kumar, Deputy Director Incharge, MSME-DI, Nagpur, Capt C M Randhir, President, MIDC Industries Association and P K Nath, DGM, SIDBI were present on the dais.

In her inaugural speech Nanda Jichkar, appreciated MSME-DI Nagpur for promoting skill development. She also said that participation of women in the exhibition is very encouraging. She said are good managers so they can be successful entrepreneurs. She said, it is really appreciable that women are coming forward in entrepreneurship. She appealed to all the participating entrepreneurs to take maximum benefit from the support system provided by Govt. schemes and guide other educated unemployed youths of the region for starting their own ventures. She also spoke on the various activities of NMC and welcomed suggestions from participants.

B Vijay Kumar, welcomed all the dignitaries on the dais and all the participants. Speaking on the occasion he said that He said that the main objective of the MSME Expo is to provide a common platform to the various CPSUs and MSMEs to interact with each other and to know about the requirements of CPSUs and exhibit their products/items so that CPSUs know about their capabilities. He further said that MSME-DIs are organising various NVDPs with the objective of development and promotion of MSMEs. He also briefed about the various schemes of Government of India for MSME sector. He appealed to all the participating entrepreneurs to get benefitted from the programme.

More than 12 CPSUs and govt. Agencies and around 75 MSMEs participated and exhibited their products in the Expo. The basic object is to bring the Buyers-Sellers on a common platform to showcase the capabilities of the MSMEs so that they can identify potential suppliers. The main objective of Public Procurement Policy, 2012 is to support MSMEs to get business.

Krupal Tumane, MP appreciated the efforts taken by MSME-DI Nagpur for organising such type of a big Event which will be beneficial to existing and new entrepreneurs. He said such type of Industrial exhibition will help the people by creating awareness on how to set up a business. He stressed the need of growth of industries in rural areas to generate employment. He appealed to B.Vijay Kumar to create awareness in remote areas of the region about entrepreneurship. Self-employment formula must be implemented in rural areas by providing proper guidance. He also appealed to SIDBI to provide finance at low rate of interest to MSMEs in the region. He also appealed to SIDBI to provide finance at low rate of interest to MSMEs in the region.

Capt C M Randhir, President, MIA, Hingna brief about the work of MIDC. He thanked all the CPSUs, MSMEs and MSME-DI Nagpur for organising such an event. He said as 95% of unit in MIDC are still small scale industries organising of such events are necessary.

Ashutosh Tripathi, Vice President, Mahindra & Mahindra also thanked MSME-DI. He said that such type of Expo is very important for development of industries in the region. He appealed the participants to en-cash the opportunity provided to them and also extended all the support from Mahindra and Mahindra.

P K Nath, DGM, SIDBI explained in brief about the schemes of SIDBI He said such type of programme gives boost to marketing He said SIDBI is giving loans at low rate of interest to MSMEs to promote growth of industries in the country. In the end he extended all possible help from SIDBI and appealed to join with SIDBI.

The programme was followed by technical sessions from representative from various CPSUs like WCL, MOIL, MECL, FSNL, MOIL, BHEL, FSNL, BPCL, SIDBI, Ordnance factories, Mazgaon Dock Limited, NTPC etc.
