NMC launches Health Insurance Scheme for poor families, Gadkari distributes certificates

Jiwan Vima Yojna Udkhatan News 24 Feb 2014Nagpur News: Nagpur Municipal Corporation (NMC) has launched a Health Insurance Scheme for economically weaker section families. The Scheme is part of NMC’s Jivan Suraksha Project implemented for benefit of the poor people. The Health Insurance Scheme was inaugurated by the senior BJP leader Nitin Gadkari by distributing Insurance Certificates to the beneficiaries of the Scheme at a function held at Raje Raghoji Bhosle Town Hall in Mahal on Monday (February 24). 40 beneficiaries were distributed the Insurance Certificates on the occasion.

The programme was presided over by the Deputy Mayor Jaitunnabi Ansari while chief guests were Chairman of Standing Committee Avinash Thakre, Ruling Party Leader Pravin Datke, BSP Leader Murlidhar Meshram, Chairman of Health Committee Ramesh Singare, Chairperson of Women and Children Welfare Committee Ashvini Jichkar, Chairman of Transport Committee Bandu Raut, Chairman of Ashi Nagar Zone Gautam Patil, Senior Corporators Balya Borkar, Prakash Totwani, Manisha Ghodeswar, Leela Patil, Sarika Nandurkar, Nilima Bawne, Satyabhama Lokhande, Sangita Kalamkar, Jayashri Wadibhasme, Manager of Oriental Insurance Company Anandam and others.

NMC has started the Health Insurance Scheme for the families having annual income below Rs 1 lakh, names in list of Below Poverty Line (BPL) or having yellow colour ration cards. The Scheme will be implemented with the cooperation of Oriental Insurance Scheme.
