NMC distributes aids, appliances to 107 Divyangs

The Education Department of Nagpur Municipal Corporation on Wednesday distributed aids and appliances to 107 Divyangs (differently abled persons) under Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan – Apang Samaveshat Shikshan (Inclusive Education for Disabled).

The Mayor Nanda Jichkar distributed the aids and appliances to Divyangs in the presence of Municipal Commissioner Shravan Hardikar, Additional Commissioner Ravindra Kumbhare, Deputy Commissioner Ranjana Lade, Education Officer Farooq Khan, Pradeshik Samishra Kendra’s Director Gurmit Singh and other office-bearers and officials.

Following aids and appliances were distributed to the beneficiaries:

  • Physically Challenged (PCS) Certificates to 52 beneficiaries
  • Railway concession certificates to 45 beneficiaries
  • Bus passes to 22 beneficiaries
  • Scholarships to 319 beneficiaries
  • Tricycles to 48 beneficiaries
  • Wheelchairs to 19 beneficiaries
  • Callipers to 49 beneficiaries
  • Rollators to 3 beneficiaries
  • MSID kits to 16 beneficiaries
  • Braille kits to 2 beneficiaries
  • Smart cane to 1 beneficiary
  • Daizy player to 8 beneficiaries
  • CP chairs to 10 beneficiaries
  • Artificial limbs to 3 beneficiaries
