NMC Commissioner visits Pench, inspects pipeline work

NMC Mpl.commi Pench news photos 5 April 2014 1Nagpur News: NMC Commissioner Shyam Wardhane on Saturday (April 5) reviewed the laying of 1422 mm pipeline being done from Godhni Water Purification Center to Raj Bhavan near Seminary Hills. The pipeline is being laid under Pench Project Phase-4. The work of laying the pipeline has been completed for 9 km out of 12 kilometers.

However, the work has hit a roadblock near Mankapur Railway Crossing on Chhindwara Road National Highway. Wardhane visited the work site near Raj Bhavan and Mankapur Railway Crossing and inspected the progress of work. The top NMC boss ordered to finish the work within 7 days by working round the clock (day and night) and deploying additional labourers, employees and officials.

At Mankapur Railway Crossing, the laying of pipeline has been affected by cables of MSEDCL. Wardhane directed the officials to work in coordination with MSEDCL authorities and complete it within time. Those who accompanied Wardhane include Superintendent Engineer Prakash Urade, Executive Engineer Water Works Azizur Rehman, Deputy Engineer Suresh Bhaje, Engineer Manoj Ganvir, Engineer D R Gautam, Engineer Narayan Gore, PMC Officer Kulkarni and Modi.
