Nigerian national arrested for staying in India illegally

Nagpur: A Nigerian national was arrested by Sonegaon police on Monday for staying in the country without valid documents.

The accused Enusa Godvin (39), native of Nigeria, was staying in India without Passport Entry and without extending Visa period. Moreover, the Double Entry Visa (No. VJ 4201735 of 28.6.2013 to 28.12.2018) the Nigerian produced at Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar International Airport in Nagpur was found to be in the name of a Malaysian woman. The accused Nigerian forged the Visa and was staying in India illegally.

Sonegaon PSI Shejav, on the basis of a complaint lodged by Rajeshthakur Yashwantthakur Desai, Immigration Officer at Nagpur Airport, has booked the Nigerian national under Sections 420, 468, 471 of the IPC read with Sub-Section 14 of Passport Entry into India Rules and placed him under arrest.
