Jitendra Awhad of NCP addressed the press at 1 pm and said that Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis should henceforth be called sans his designation. He claimed that the CM is hell bent on dividing Maharashtra and breaking away Mumbai from Maharashtra. He claimed that we have got Mumbai after a lot of struggle. He claimed that this conspiracy has been going on for a long time to give power over Mumbai to PM. Awhad claimed that the Mumbai Municipal Corporation and other leaders have worked hard to reach Mumbai where it is today. If the PM Modi is so concerned, he should take meeting twice a month, personally look after the progress and ensure that Mumbai flourishes as part of Maharashtra and not separately. The CM can have affinity to Vidharbha and he should allay the plight of farmers and can even demand better facilities for Vidarbha but should not break Maharashtra into pieces.

After that Manikrao Thakre addressed the press and claimed that they have been demanding time to discuss various issues of Vidarbha and Maratwada. However, we have been denied that. We have also agreed for the extension of the Winter Session if need be. However, we have been told that all the points can be raised here, but the discussions will be held at Mumbai. Seeing no hope, Congress and NCP leaders have boycotted the session today.
