Nagpur:
As the city is starting to stroll towards becoming a ‘Smart City’, the newly introduced plans, too, are based on smart systems. If the things go according to the plan, city will soon have Intelligent Lighting Systems. The street lights of the city are soon to be converted in Intelligent Lighting. To be installed with an expected amount of 150 crore, the system will be capable of controlling the city traffic according to number of vehicles on road.

At present the city has old lightening system which consumes a huge amount of energy and costing a fortune to the NMC. However, newly introduced lightening will be consuming minimal power. The same will also bring down the wastage of energy. The present consumption of 16.6 MW, is expected to lower down to 6.6 MW after the introduction of Intelligent Lightening.

Intelligent Light System. The optionally available Intelligent Light System is an adaptive headlamp system which adapts automatically to the prevailing weather, light and driving conditions. In problematic weather conditions, at dusk and during night-time driving it provides for added light and enhanced safety.
