Nagpur:
As if the low rainfall was not enough to cause agony to Nagpur residents, load shedding may soon prove to be an addition in the list. In a meeting of ‘Zila Niyojan Samiti’ held here today, the problem of water scarcity was discussed. Power Minister and Guardian minister of state, Chandrashekhar Bawankule informed that Nagpur might face a load shedding for 12 hours soon.

The meeting was organised to discuss ways in which water scarcity can be met in the region.

It is the farmers who are affected the most due to low rainfall and load shedding, too, will hamper them the most creating a problem for irrigation of the crops. Sowing has not taken place in half of the area under paddy due to the long dry spell. Paddy shoots in areas where sowing has been done, are at risk of wilting if immediate showers are not seen. Bawankule, however, has assured that the matter will soon be discussed with Chief Minister Fadanavis and Nitin Gadkari to have a prompt solution.
