Mosquito-larva search drive: School-students to destroy mosquito-larva on Oct 18

Nagpur: Under the mosquito-larva search and destroy drive launched in the city, the students of all schools in city are going to search the mosquito-larva in their domestic surrounding and destroy them. They will be administered an oath to this effect on Oct 18.

Similarly, the students of NCC and NSS as well as the staff-members of collectorate will also be administered the oath on Oct 13 by District Collector Sachin Kurve. The oath will include throwing away of water that remains accumulated (unused) in home-coolers, tyres, unused household articles, etc.

On Oct 14, ZP CEO Shivajirao Jondhale will administer oath to ZP employees while on Oct 15 NMC Commissioner Shravan Hardikar will administer oath to students of Bhavan’s School, and NMC education officer will administer oath to school teachers and students the same date.

On Oct 16,  Morris College Principal will administer oath to students and employees; on Oct 17, NMC health officer will administer oath to the citizens of Mahal. NMC health committee chairman Devendra Mehar will take pledge at Bhavani Mandir at Pardi on the same date.

All aforesaid programme was decided during a meeting called by District Collector Sachin Kurve at the collectorate. Present during the meeting were ZP CEO Shivajirao Jondhale, district sports officer Vijay Santan, education officers of NMC and ZP, malaria and filaria officer of NMC Dr Jayshri Thote, Morris College Principal and other invitees.
