Property related crimes are gradually raising their ugly heads in Orange City.
Gittikhadan police on on Tuesday (July 29) received information that some anti-social elements attacked a property dealer, Anand Shukla and his wife Chetana Shukla, 24, both residents of Samadhan Nagar, behind Police Line Takli, at around 6-30 in the evening.
Police immediately rushed to the spot but the miscreants had fled by that time.
Anand Shukla, who is said to be son of a policeman, has recently started property dealership business. The reason behind the attack could not be ascertained but it can be related to some property dispute.
The couple was threatened and then attacked with some sharp weapons. It is reported that three persons had come to Anand Shukla who first threatened him and then attacked him with sharp weapons. Anand has received injuries on his hand.
Due to commotion, the residents of locality rushed to the spot. On seeing mob gathering, the attackers fled the spot but not before firing two rounds from pistol, it is reported.
The names of attackers as given by complainant are Kuldeep Pande alias Pinnoo, who is also said to be son of a policeman and Jenual Nogal. The police are reportedly searching for the bullets. But it could not be ascertained whether the cops found them or not till the filing of this report.
