Nagpur: In a good news to commuters, the Mayor Pravin Datke on Monday flagged off a new bus service Swarajya Vihar-Vyenkatesh Nagar-Nandanvan-Sitabuldi-Gorewada the demand for which was long pending. The Prabhag Corporator Malu Vanve had pursued the matter and got the success in strating the bus service. Bowing to the demand, the Mayor green-flagged the service from KDK College premises-based Vyenkatesh Nagar. The bus will traverse Swarajya Vihar, Vyenkatesh Nagar, Nandanvan, Sitabuldi and Gorewada.
The bus will have stoppages at Nandanvan Square, Jaganade Square, Old Shukrawari Square, Ashok Chowk, S T Stand Ganeshpeth, Munje Square in Sitabuldi. The bus will undertake a total of 40 trips including 20 each to and fro.
Other dignitaries present on the occasion include East Nagpur MLA Krishna Khopde, Transport Committee Chairman Sudhir Raut, Corporators Manisha Kothe, Maly Vanve, Pravin Narad, Tanaji Vanve, NMC’s Transport Manager Shivaji Jagtap and others.
