Nagpur: As the Maratha community is scheduled to storm out on Nagpur roads to organize their silent march, the city is likely to face the heavy traffic mess. Lakhs of Marathas are expected to participate in the rally which will move through various stretches of the city. This move is a part of their statewide mobilisation to press for demands like reservation in jobs and education for their community. Besides, the Marathas also want to restrict the misuse of SC/ST Atrocities Act 1989.

Wherever the morcha has been organised by the community in the state in the last three years, it has set new records of crowd. Given this fact, police have also enforced their might into place to monitor the event.

However the citizens should avoid commuting on specific roads today to remain away from any traffic mess. The protest march, organised by Sakal Maratha Samaj will begin from Reshimbagh at 11 am. The morcha will pass through Tulshibagh road, Mahal, Gandhi gate, Subhash Road, Tekdi Road, Samvidhan Square and reach Kasturchand Park ground at 2 pm.
