Nagpur: There is lot of improvement in the condition of ailing Jaai, a tigress in Maharajbagh Zoo. As per the doctors treating the 9 year-old tigress, are of the opinion that she is towards regaining her health. It may be mentioned that a few days back a snake was spotted near her cage and so it was suspected that the snake must have bitten as she developed kidney infection.

The doctors treating here had also suspected snake has bitten. A team of doctors were treating the tigress and nearly after weeks of treatment Jaai’s health improved. Earlier she was administered at 6 to 7 bottle of saline but now she requires just three litres of saline. Jaai has now started having her food.

Jaai was brought to the Maharajbag in 2008 and soon became the star attraction. Even the animal lovers of the city were also feeling sad for her. Now since there is improvement in health all are feeling relieved.

In- Charge Officer Dr Sunil Bawaskar informing about Jaai said that now she is in good condition. There is 80 per cent improvement in her health. Her blood sample has been sent for testing. Jaai has once again started pacing in her cage, he informed.
