Lucky escape for passengers as ambulance rams into ST Bus on Wardha Road; driver, doctor injured

An Ambulance driver who was going from Khamla Square to Chhatrapati Square on Wardha Roadlost control over of the vehicle and rammed it into a State Transport Bus coming to Nagpur from Bela.

The driver of the ambulance, belonging to National Ambulance Service, Government of Maharashtra (MH-14/CL-1184), Vinod Bhoyar was taking the Ambulance at a speed of 80 kilometers per hour. When he reached Chhatrapati Square, he lost control over his vehicle and rammed it into the middle portion of State Transport Bus (MH-12 / EF-6859. There were 60 passengers inside the ST Bus. However, no passenger got injured in the mishap.

The driver of the Ambulance Vinod Bhoyar and the Doctor Ramzan Khan who was seated in the front, received injuries. They have been admitted to Kothari Hospital. Their present state could not be ascertained as yet. The driver of the ST Bus Damodhar Narayan Ambarte aged 58 years and a resident of Somwaripeth Quarters, Raghuji Nagar is a seasoned driver and it was no fault of his, since the signal was green and he was adhering to the traffic rules. It was the sheer fault of the Ambulance driver who broke the signal and rammed into the bus.
