Nagpur: The tenure of the present Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha (BJYM) has come to an end. However, the new executive body of BJYM and the new office-bearers have not yet been elected.

Sources claimed that by March 10, 2016, the names of the new office bearers will be declared. Though the tenure of the present President of BJYM Bunty Kukde is over, he continues to hold the position and under his leadership, the last rally was taken out in the city on Wednesday the February 24, 2016. Sources claimed that Jitendra Thakur will be given the reigns of BJYM. Sources also added that there will be revamp in the executive body of BJYM and the new-office-bearers will be declared soon. The South Nagpur and South West Nagpur’s body has already be constituted.

On February 25, 2016, in the presence of Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, the new bodies of North and South Nagpur bodies will be constituted. By March 8, 2016, all the internal bodies will be constituted and by March 10, 2016 the names of the new President and other office-bearers will be declared.

While sources claimed that the name of Jitendra Thakur is almost certain, however a formal announcement is yet to be made. Jitendra Thakur is said to be working in the organization (BJYM) for the last 18 years and is said to be more senior than the present President of BJYM Bunty Kukde.

However, sources in BJYM said that along with Jitendra Thakur, the name of Shivani Dani too is being proposed for the position of President. Shivani Dani is presently the member of the National Executive Body. Jitendra Thakur experience will prove to be a big help in running the BJYM, while Shivani Dani is said to be close to Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis so has better chances of being selected as the President of BJYM. Sources claimed that Jitendra Thakur is almost a certain to be elected as President of BJYM.
