Nagpur: Large number of traders and common people took benefit of workshop organised jointly by TEAM CAIT Nagpur and Income Tax Department Circle-2. Under guidance of Smt. Anita Rupavataram Joint Commissioner of Income Tax, Income Tax Officer gave information about provision of Income Tax in very simple language to enlighten traders about the same.
Giving welcome address president of TEAM CAIT Nagpur Kirshor Dharashiver express his pleasure by saying that such type of program will increase co-ordination between Income tax Dept. and traders.
Income Tax Officer of Circle-2 Atul Ahuja, D.P.Shrivashtav,Pradeep Ghoongrood & Kukde gave Power Point Presentation about provision of Income Tax in very simple language. Giving information about the working of income tax dept. Atul Ahuja said that the department is insisting on voluntary compliances by the tax prayer. In initial part of his presentation he gave information about provision of income tax which are applicable to general tax prayers. He gave information about the income taxable under various head and the method of calculating the same. He also informed about provision of TDS/TCS which are applicable to traders. In the later part of the presentation he informed about the provision of the penalty for tax prayer and businessman for non-compliance of Income Tax Rule. He also imformed that the dept. is getting information about commercial as well as financial transaction from various sources.
After the presentation many people present took part in the question answer sessison. They asked about their doubt with open mind and also gave suggestion to improve working of income tax dept.
Summing up the presentation & question answer session National President of CAIT B.C.Bhartia informed that after digitisation of Govt. Dept. systems & Software are replacing of human being which work on the perameters specified to it. In such environment there would be necessacity to do compliance correctly, completely and timely. Non following of this may lead to deficult situation.
