Kush killer Ayush Pugaliya murdered in Nagpur Central Jail

Nagpur: Ayush Pugaliya who has been serving his rare triple lifer jail term in Nagpur central jail for kidnapping and murdering a eight year old boy Kush Katariya, was killed by a fellow inmate in jail premises on Monday morning at around 7.30 am. The sensational murder took place when Pugaliya had gone to relieve himself in the toilet area beside his cell. The fellow inmate had reportedly hit Pugaliya on his head with a heavy tile, leaving him bleeding profusely. Pugaliya died on the spot.

The jail administration has informed Dhantoli police station which took the inmate, whose identity could not be ascertained at the time of filing the news. The reasons behind the murder was not yet known.

Entry of scribes and photo journalists has also been barred.

In May 2017, Pugaliya was given prize for excelling in exam conducted on Gandhian thoughts.

Police have sent Pugaliya’s body for post mortem and interrogating the arrested man to know his intent behind the murder
