Krushi Din and Krushi Saptah inaugurated

In a joint efforts put by Maharashtra agriculture department, Zilla Parishad, ATMA and Panchayat Samiti, Nagpur, the programme of Krushi Din (July 1) and a week-long Krushi Saptah (July 1-7) was inaugurated on July 1 at Late Abasaheb Khedkar Sabhagruh, ZP, Nagpur to mark the birth anniversary (Jayanti) of former Maharashtra Chief Minister Vasantrao Naik.

The programme was presided over by Nishatai Sawarkar, president, Nagpur Zilla Parishad.

Present during inaugural function included Ashatai Gaikwad, chairperson (Krushi ani Pashu Samvardhan), and other office bearers, namely, Ukeshji Chavan, Dipakji Gedam, Namrata Raut, Sujit Nitnaware, Shivaji Jondhale, CEO, Vijay Dhavate, V G Nagdevate, Dr Archana Kadu, Milind Shende, Subodh Moharil, several officials of ZP, PS and agriculture department.

Dr Archana Kadu made introductory remarks, saying that the Krishi Saptaha from July 1 to 7 would be held at all village-levels and the village-farmers would be made aware of various schemes launched by agriculture department.

Various guest speakers expressed their views on this occasion and dwelt on agriculture related issues like crop management, manures, improved seeds, water resources, irrigation, kisan-portal, farmers’ company, agro-supplementary vocations, latest technical know-how, etc.

Subodh Moharil proposed the vote thanks during concluding function of Krushi Din.
