Nagpur: The reported kidnapping of three school-going kids turned out to be a “Great Escape” plan by the trio to avoid “boring” school and enjoy some free moments. However, their cherished plan was foiled by Gondia RPF jawans when they were taken custody and later handed over to their relieved parents.

The three kids, Suraj Subhash Nikose (13), Raju Shivpal Paliwal (12) and Soyal Azgar Sayyed (12) left their homes for going to school at 11.30 am on Wednesday. However, Suraj and two other boys did not return home as usual till 5.30 pm.

Subsequent enquiries revealed that the three boys did not go to school at all and even did not return to their homes. The panicky parents and others searched the boys at all possible places but could not find them anywhere. Finally, a complaint was filed at Mankapur Police Station. Cops had launched a massive hunt to trace the boys and had alerted the police across the State.

In reality, the three boys went straight to Railway Station instead of their school and boarded the first train they saw on platform not bothering where the train headed. The train was running towards Gondia direction and as the night dark descended, the kids decided to spend time at platform.

Meanwhile, some RPF jawans spotted the kids whiling away their time on the platform as all were in school uniforms. The jawans politely asked them their names, address and the motive behind being on the platform. After grasping the reality, the jawans informed Mankapur police. Immediately, Mankapur Head Constable rushed to Gondia and after completing paper formalities brought the three kids to Nagpur on Thursday. Later, after a formal investigation, the three kids were handed over to their teary-eyed parents.
