The Bombay High Court administration had allotted a media room to the journalists from the print and electronic mediums covering legal cases at its Nagpur bench. The ‘High Court Media Room’ would be inaugurated by senior administrative judge of Nagpur bench of Bombay High Court Justice Bhushan Gavai at 2 pm on Friday. Others judges, including Justice Bhushan Dharmadhikari, Justice Vasanti Naik, Justice Arun Chaudhari and Justice ZA Haq among others would grace the occasion along with senior journalists and office-bearers from the Nagpur Union of Working Journalists (NUWJ).

The room is located near the lift in front of Government Pleader’s office on first floor. This is for the first time, such room has been allotted exclusively for media persons, in Nagpur bench. Similar facility has already been made available at principal bench in Mumbai and at Aurangabad Bench by the HC administration.

Lawyers generally have problems in reaching out to the media persons covering legal cases. With the new facility, they would now have the option to contact all of them at one place. The HC administration has made good seating arrangements at the room.
The NUWJ requests all journalists from electronic & print media to attend and cover the event in large number.
