Nagpur News : The Integrated Test Management System (ITMS) will develop online question papers for 10th Summative Assessment (SA-II) in Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE). However, this system will apply only to the school-based examinations.

ITS will provide two sets of questions papers for every major subject to each school. School can either choose any one set of question paper and conduct SA-II or they can develop their questions papers with the help of these sets of papers. Schools may also prepare their own questions papers adhering to the weightage pattern given by CBSE. If schools opt for their own questions papers, they will have to send a copy of question papers to CBSE a week before the examination.

Now, schools can have question papers just a day before or even on the day of examination. The Board-based SA-II will start on March 1. Many schools had planned to start school-based SA-II simultanesously with board-based SA-II, but, with introduction of ITMS, the exams are delayed. ITMS question papers will be delivered only on March 11, thus, schools will have reschedule their examinations.

Earlier, schools had to send CD with sample papers for each subjects and one question paper of each subject was selected. With introduction of ITMS, schools can breathe a sigh of relief. ITMS will also provide model answer papers for the teacher, thus, helping them have unbiased evaluation. The marking scheme will be available online from March 29 onwards for Std X.

To provide a clear and secure question paper environment, schools will implement an online examination management system from the current academic year.
