Nagpur News : Irked over 9-year-old girl’s death due to alleged doctor’s negligence, deceased’s relative thrashed hospital staff and ransacked A D N hospital at Pardi Gangabagh on Tuesday afternoon. Harshida Borkar, a resident of Pardi Gangabagh, Shardha Square, was hospitalized on Monday evening for feeling unwell. Hours after doctors treated her, she was declared dead by the doctors on Tuesday morning.
On the complaint filed by the deceased’s father Keshav, Kalamna police has booked two doctors for their negligence. For hours, tight bandobast was immediately deployed around A. D. N Hospital at Punapur. However, to control the tension police has to
finally close down the hospital. Police informed that the hospital is run by Dhanwanti Bahuddeshiya Sanstha.
According to the deceased’s relative, Borkar family had been to a wedding on Monday. “As soon as she returned home, she started vomiting and fall ill. She was immediately rushed to A D N hospital nearby,” told a relative.
Borkar’s kin informed that doctor had initially demanded cash Rs 3000 for treatment. However, Keshav and his wife Kanchan could collect Rs 2500 and assured doctor to give the remaining amount within a day.
“On Monday night, doctors treated Harshida and told Borkar that she isstable and will be normal by next day. On Tuesday morning, Borkar noticed that Harshida’s isn’t responding and is lying motionless. He immediately informed doctor but they ignored it,” told relative.
An hour passed but Harshida was still motionless and thus this time, Borkar insisted doctors to check her. Going through her health,
doctors suddenly declared her dead. Borkar alleged that doctors failed to give reason behind Harshida’s death. Claiming doctor’s negligence towards Harshida’s health that led to loss of her life, Borkar and his relatives pelted stones on the hospital and ransacked the furniture. It has been learnt that relatives also thrashed hospital staff.
