Nagpur: Indian Air Force offers opportunities for Male Indian Citizens (Married candidates above 22 years of age on the date of Enrolment in Indian Air Force are also eligible for Musician Trade only) from the States of Maharashtra, Gujarat and Goa to join as Airmen. The Recruitment Test for Group ‘Y’ (Musician) Trade and Group ‘Y’ (Non-Technical) Trades will be held at Shyama Prasad Mukherjee Stadium, Bambolim (Talegaon), North Goa on 03 June 2016 and 06 Jun 2016 respectively.
The Recruitment Test will be conducted from 7 AM onwards as per the details given below. Candidates fulfilling the domicile requirements and eligibility conditions should report at Shyama Prasad Mukherjee Stadium, Bambolim (Talegaon), North Goa by 6 AM as per the details of advertisement. The details of advertisement is available at www.airmenselection.gov.in & www.dip.goa.gov.in.
The Recruitment Test is not for selection as Commissioned Officers/ Pilots/Navigators.
The candidates will be tested for their Proficiency in playing musical instruments, English Written/Oral Test, Adaptability Test-1, Physical Fitness Test (PFT) and Adaptability Test- II for the post of Group ‘Y’ (Musician) Trade. Written Test, Adaptability Test – 1, Physical Fitness Test (PFT) and Adaptability Test¬2 for the post of Group ‘Y’ (Non-Technical) Trades of candidates from Goa State only will be held on June 6, 2016.
As regards date of birth for the post of Group ‘Y’ (Musician) Trade, Candidates born between 08 January 1992 to 28 December 1999 (both days inclusive) are eligible to appear in the Recruitment Rally. Married candidates are eligible only if their age on the date of enrollment is above 22 years. In case, a candidate clears the Selection Procedure then the upper age limit as on date of enrollment is 25 years.
For Group ‘Y’ (Non¬Technical) Trades. (i) Candidates born between 01 August 1996 to 30 November 1999 (both days inclusive) are eligible to appear in the Recruitment Rally. (ii) In case, a candidate clears the Selection Procedure then the upper age limit as on date of enrollment is 21 years.
Educational Qualification :-
(a) Group ‘Y’ (Musician) Trade. Passed Matriculation /10th class or equivalent with minimum pass marks from any COBSE recognized Board and should be proficient in playing atleast one of the following musical instruments. (i) Piccolo/Bamboo Flute (ii) Saxophone (iii) Clarinet (iv) Trumpet (v) Euphonium (vi) Trombone (vii) Guitar (viii) Violin (ix) Octa Pad (x) Tabla/Dholak (xi) Key board/Piano.
(b) Group ‘Y’ (Non-Technical) Trades.
(i) Candidate should have passed Intermediate / 10+2 / Equivalent Examination in any stream/subjects approved by Central /State Education Boards with minimum 50% marks in aggregate and 50% marks in English.
OR
(ii) Candidate should have done 2 Years Vocational Course from either of these two Boards:-
(aa) Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE).
(ab) Board of Vocational Higher Secondary Education/Examination, Kerala.
