Puducherry:
Puducherry Lieutenant Governor Kiran Bedi took to Twitter today to post a series of images portraying her as Hitler and the goddess Kali, which were used in posters across the city.

The posters were allegedly made by Congress party cadres to protest against the appointment of three MLAs by the LG without consulting the government.

The Hitler poster has Bedi with the German dictator’s toothbrush moustache, while the one as goddess Kali has her holding decapitated heads.

The Union home ministry had appointed BJP’s Puducherry chief V Saminathan, the party’s treasurer K G Shankar and another functionary S Selvaganapathy as nominated legislators of the Puducherry Assembly.

The three leaders were inducted by Bedi as members of the House on the night of July 4 at the Raj Nivas, triggering strong protest from the Congress, its alliance partner the DMK, and Left parties.

Bedi has been asserting her supremacy in the state and has rubbed the chief minister V Narayanasamy and elected representatives the wrong way. The elected representatives also want the central government to recall her.

Bedi retored that the posters were in bad taste.
