He was recognized for his achievement and hard work with the Railway Minister’s Award. Later, he was the man who built not just the Calcutta metro but also the Delhi one.

On Thursday there will be two interactive sessions by the “Makers of Metro” – the Engineers, the Designers and the team working day and night to make this dream a reality. It will be held at Chitnavis Centre, Nagpur.

This NOC was critical for construction of metro rail elevated corridor near CONCOR siding and Khapri Railway station. It is apparent from viewing them that the Nagpur metro will be unique and will attract many tourists to Nagpur just to view the completed project.

It will also be a boon to the city where commuters have to brave the brutal Nagpur summers to travel to work or students to go to college. It will ease traffic congestion and save the city from fossil fuel emissions that has become such a problem for metros like Delhi and Bangalore.
