Dayashankar Tiwari said that students studying in NMC schools work hard in adverse conditions. Maximum students come from slums. Out of 60 students of Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar Higher Secondary School, 59 students have passed. The only student who could not make it is suffering from sickle cell disease. Otherwise, the school could have scored 100 percent result.

Education Committee Chairman Gopal Bohre congratulated the meritorious students and patted the teachers for their hard work. The success is the outcome of various ventures that are being undertaken in NMC schhols. The NMC runs a total of 28 schools and four junior colleges. This year, 334 students appeared for HSC exam out of which 295 students passed. The pass percentage in NMC schools is 88.32. Now, focus should be on the Commerce Stream so that students from this steam too achieve the distinction like other two steams, Bohre stressed.
