Nagpur: In an incident of honour killing, a 17-year old boy was brutally murdered by a man whose daughter was allegedly in love with the deceased. The murder has been captured in a CCTV.
According to information, the deceased Shubham, resident of Manish Nagar, was reportedly in love with the neighbouring girl, a Class XII student. Shubham was staying with his parents and his sister had got married recently. When the father of the girl came to know about love affairs of the two teenagers, he allegedly offered “Supari” (Contract to kill) and got the boy murdered.
Filmy style murder:
The CCTV footage has revealed the gruesome murder of Shubham on August 20 midnight. The entire episode, it seems, has the hallmark of a “supari” killing. And the murderers of Shubham are apparently the henchmen of Dilip Shahu gang. The CCTV footage shows how Shubham is attacked in filmy style. When Shubham started running, the goons chased him and assaulted him. As a result, Shubham stumbled and fell on the road. One of the accused attackers caught him and the others bashed him up violently. The footage shows the goons wielding sticks and a hit on the head resulted in Shubham collapsing. Assuming him dead, the attackers took him to a hospital and told doctors that the boy was found lying on the road with injuries. However, when the parents came to know about the incident and saw the condition of Shubham, they immediately alerted the cops.
Murder over love affair:
According to parents of Shubham, Pawan Mahajan allegedly offered “supari” for eliminating the boy. The accused Pawan Mahajan was suspecting love affair between his daughter and Shubham and was dead against it. Pawan Mahajan had even tried to desist his daughter to stay away from the boy. But when the matter came to his head, Pawan Mahajan planned to eliminate Shubham and gave “Supari” to Dilip Shahu gang, the parents alleged.
Cops have registered a case and succeeded in arresting the six accused allegedly involved in the murder of Shubham. Cops are probing the matter from all angles including the contract killing.
The parents of Shubham are totally devastated over the murder of their only son. They denied their son having love affair with any girl.
When contacted by Nagpur Today, Senior Police Inspector of Sonegaon Police Station Ashok Bagul said that the murder has nothing to do with honour killing nor supari killing nor it is the result of love affair. A minor brawl had erupted between the deceased Shubham and the six accused. The accused have been arrested. But still we are investigating the case from all angles, Bagul stated.
