Nagpur: Displaying utmost alertness and drawing a well-planned strategy, Nandanvan police succeeded in arresting a hardcore criminal who was absconding since the past 23 years. The criminal was wanted in a dacoity case.
The goon identified as Suresh Kisan Suryavanshi was booked and detained by Dhantoli police in 1992. At that time, the criminal had told police his residential address as Balaji Nagar, Ajni. However, the address was misleading and blatantly false. Since then the wanted goon had gone absconding. But the police did not get disheartened and continued the trail of the criminal. Displaying alacrity and brainy strategy, the Nandanvan police traced the new address of Suresh Suryavanshi in Jattarodi and succeeded in nabbing him well after 23 years.
The track and arrest operation was carried out by Senior Police Inspector S P Nandanwar, PSI Mahendrasingh Thakur, head constables Vilas Chobitkar, Nagesh Kundanwar.
The arrested criminal Suresh Suryavanshi has been handed over to Dhantoli police for further course of action.
