Nagpur News: The people of a particular area, living around Hotel Radisson Blu in Nagpur, it is certain that they were not impressed by the above positive words, and, negative, as well. They got themselves united by their own thoughts of wisdom and decisively acted against the “powerful” management of Hotel Radisson Blu. The citizens were subjected to the continuous nuisance at the “black” hands of the thorny management of Hotel Radisson Blu who had barred a road for the common use by building a stony wall between the residential area road and the hotel perimeter and remained out of the reach of the residents who were made to cough up the development charge by the officials.
However, the residents, finally broke apart the “powerful” wall, built by the “powerful” men, for “powerful” class of people. And, showed, by their mightier resolve and unity, even the world could be conquered if people wish to.
It may be recalled, the NIT, MSRDC and NMC bosses, who are always “eager” to bow to whims and fancies of “powerful” private persons, of course, for obvious reasons, were just spectators to the illegal activities of Hotel Raddisson Blu. However, the most nasty action on the part of NIT, MSRDC, and NMC, was they collaborated with their boss the Hotel Raddisson Blu management, and the NIT, went not a step ahead but 100 steps ahead and deliberately developed landscaped garden, simply to enhance the beauty of private property rather than opening it for public use. The nefarious designs of building landscaped garden triggered a ferocious action by the residents who smashed the wall of all problems to pieces. The enraged residents also decided to knock the doors of the court after getting relevant documents to prove their genuine appeal and “kill” the issue forever.
Sources said that earlier it was planned to construct main gate of Radisson Blu facing Wardha Road but due to technical hurdles it was directed to open its entrance towards Nagbhumi Layout. At that time there was no sign of development around. It was then that Hotel Radisson lobbied up to have its way through NIT, MSRDC and NMC. The group allegedly connived with these departments to carry out the entire development, albeit, illegally. Later the citizens who paid development charges for this public utility space were debarred from passing through the road.
The tormented residents ran from pillar to post by approaching several bosses of concerned departments but to return empty handed or say “fully assured handed.” The frustrated residents had then and only then decided to demolish the wall raised as blockade on one end of the road to restrict common passage on the night of Holika Dahan. However, it took some time to gather the needed courage, and, unity, too, but they got it, and finally tore apart the wall without caring for any consequences at the hands of Hotel Raddisson Blu.
The residents, led by an alert, and keeping welfare of area’s residents in mind, Rajkumar Hatwa prepared the resident to gather courage and take the determined step which resulted in residents breaking the wall to pieces. The residents, too, gathered the required money to demolish the wall, and were removing the left over of the broken wall. The most significant fact of the entire operation was no tense situation or any untoward incident took place. The residents are giving the credit to Rajkumar Hatwa for success of the “Mission Smash Wall”
The only interesting aspect of their action would be to see how the NIT, MSRDC, and NMC bosses “retaliate” and how the Hotel Raddisson Blu management again “deal” with their “Yes Men” in the NIT, MSRDC, and NMC departments.
