Nagpur: A hapless girl who was working in the office of a builder was allegedly raped by the builder for four years. Though the builder was married, he wanted to continue to maintain physical relationship with the female employee. When the victim started pressurizing the boss to cease the relationship and desist from using her, he threatened to defame her among her family members.
According to In-Charge of Gitikhadan Police Station, Senior Police Inspector R D Nikam, the victim a girl of 22 years of age and a resident of Gittikhadan area lodged a complaint with Gittikhadan area alleging that the accused identified as Madhu Surendra Kumar Singhal aged 44 years and a resident of Plot No 147, Gomati Nagar, Netaji Nagar, Nagpur had used her haplessness and the need for employment and wages to run the family and had raped her several times at several places.
Though the accused, a builder was married, he refused to sever the physical relationship with the victim. In spite of repeated requests of the victim, the accused did not desist from raping her. When she started refusing, the accused threatened to defame the victim in her own house and in her family. The accused had wanted the victim to be a keep and to continue physical relationship with him.
When the victim put-down her foot and refused the accused from maintaining a physical relationship, the accused had the audacity to go to her home and show some intimate photographs to her parents and brother in an attempt to defame her.
Irked by this action of the accused, the victim then approached the Gittikhadan Police Station and lodged a case of rape against the accused builder.
Based on the complaint lodged by the victim, the Woman Police Sub Inspector Bawankar of Gitikhadan Police Station has registered a case under Sections 376 (2), 323, 504, 506 of Indian Penal Code against the accused and has initiated an investigation. The accused builder is said to be absconding.
