Nagpur: Mystery deepens as the police are still clue-less of the girl burning incident. They seem to be gripping in the dark if it was suicide attempt or an attempted to murder. Since the cops of the Ambazhari police were not able to take the statement, they have not even registered a case yet.

Deputy Commissioner of Police (EOW and Cyber Crime) Deepali Masirkar and Deputy Commissioner of Police (Zone-1) Sanjay Latkar visited the hospital and spoke to the doctors and the family members.

A lot of factors point to the possibility of an attempt to murder in this case. If sources are the be belived the mouth was of Nikhita was tied in such a manner that she could not shout or shout for help. Her mouth was tied with a hand-kerchief with the kerchief rolled like a rope and tied between the upper jaw and the lower jaw. An attempt was probably made to destroy her face with an aim to deface or in order to make it difficult to identify her. Some eye-witnesses claim to have seen 2-3 boys or youth running away from the spot.

Another strange incident is that with such a busy road, how is it that nobody noticed the boys and the girls getting up on a deserted or closed restaurant?

The parents and the relative all expressed their ignorance about why she went to that place or with whom she went and reached the spot where she suffered burn injuries. The father is the owner of Gurunanak Kirana Shop. Her parents claimed that she was finding it difficult to breathe so the attending doctors performed a minor surgery. They also claimed that her face and hair are completely burnt and has swollen up.
